Perky Beans Coffee, a family-owned business with roots in Leander, is expanding to Georgetown with a new restaurant and coffee shop at 2651 E. University Avenue.
The project, listed under the name University Retail and Storage, involves a $575,000 tenant finish-out of a 4,608-square-foot space within an existing shell building. Construction is set to begin July 15, 2025, with completion expected by April 15, 2026. According to state records, the project is privately funded and located on private land for private use.
Perky Beans first launched in 2013 as a mobile coffee truck in San Diego before relocating to Texas in 2019. The company opened its Leander coffeehouse and drive-thru that same year, followed by PB Café in 2021.
The business offers two distinct concepts: Perky Beans Coffee, serving espresso drinks, teas, and quick bites; and PB Café, a sit-down restaurant offering breakfast and lunch items such as omelets, benedicts, burgers, and salads.
Owners Ron and Angie Diaz emphasize community involvement, regularly supporting local schools and nonprofits in the Leander and Liberty Hill areas. Their mission is to deliver quality food and service while treating all customers like family.
The Georgetown location will mark a significant step in the continued growth of the Perky Beans brand in Central Texas.
