The Liberty Hill Independent School District Police Department has promoted Wesley Shipman to the rank of sergeant, the district announced.
Shipman joined Liberty Hill ISD nine months ago and has served as the school resource officer at Tierra Rosa Elementary School. District officials credited his professionalism, leadership and commitment to the safety of students and staff.
Shipman has more than 11 years of law enforcement experience. During his time at Tierra Rosa Elementary, he has worked to build relationships with students, families and staff while helping maintain a safe and welcoming school environment.
District officials said the promotion reflects the trust, dedication and leadership Shipman has brought to the department and the Liberty Hill ISD community.
