A longtime local barbecue name is entering a new chapter, as Stubblefield’s announced it is becoming Rocky’s Texas BBQ.
The family-owned barbecue business announced the rebranding on social media, telling customers that while the name is changing, the family, food and commitment to hospitality will remain the same.
“This is more than a new name. It’s the beginning of the next chapter of our family’s story,” the business said in its announcement.
Rocky’s Texas BBQ said the new identity reflects what the family hopes to continue building around faith, family, hospitality and community.
The business thanked customers who supported Stubblefield’s over the years, including those who ate at the business, recommended it to friends, booked it for events or simply stopped by.
“Same family. Same great Texas BBQ. Same commitment to serving every plate with love and hospitality,” the announcement said.
The transition also includes new branding, a new website and new social media accounts under the Rocky’s Texas BBQ name.
The business is listed as a food truck at 209 W. Broade St. in Leander.
The family described the change as a continuation rather than a departure from Stubblefield’s.
“A new name. A new chapter. And we’re just getting started,” the business said.
