Lemberg Roastery & Bakery, a Ukrainian-owned business inspired by the coffeehouse traditions of Lviv, Ukraine, plans to open at The Square at Crystal Falls in Leander.
The business is planned for 1900 S. Bagdad Road, Suites 101 and 102, according to public filings cited by What Now Austin. Founders Olha Haida and Nataliia Huk told the publication they are targeting completion in December 2026, pending permits and construction timelines.
The concept will combine specialty coffee with traditional Ukrainian pastries and baked goods. Its coffee program will emphasize carefully sourced beans and small-batch roasting, while the bakery will feature flavors and techniques passed down through generations.
The name Lemberg comes from the historic German and Austrian name for Lviv, a western Ukrainian city with a longstanding coffeehouse culture. The founders said the business reflects their Ukrainian heritage and the community they have found in Texas.
Both founders bring experience from earlier ventures. Haida founded KavaOli, a small-batch coffee roastery, while Huk founded Smakota Catering, which specializes in catering and baked goods.
The planned Leander location will be Lemberg’s first, according to What Now Austin.
