P. Terry’s Burger Stand plans to build a restaurant on Texas 29 in Liberty Hill, with construction scheduled to begin in January, according to a state filing.
The Austin-based burger chain’s proposed location at 10990 Texas 29 would encompass 4,056 square feet and carry an estimated construction cost of $950,000. The project was registered Oct. 21 with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation under the name “P. Terry’s Burger Stand #41.”
The filing lists a construction start date of Jan. 7, 2027, and an estimated completion date of July 26, 2027. Those dates describe the construction schedule rather than a confirmed restaurant opening.
Plans call for ground-up construction funded privately on private land. The filing identifies LH Crossing LLC as the property owner and Irving-based Fusion-AE as the design firm.
Patrick and Kathy Terry opened the first P. Terry’s on July 5, 2005, at South Lamar Boulevard and Barton Springs Road in Austin. The concept drew inspiration from classic burger stands, including Mack Eplen’s in Abilene, where Patrick Terry grew up.
The chain’s menu includes Black Angus beef burgers, house-made veggie burgers, hand-cut fries and hand-spun milkshakes. Its restaurants draw architectural inspiration from the Googie style associated with roadside businesses of the 1950s and 1960s, according to the company.
