Williamson Reporter has placed several calls and left several messages asking Round Rock Donuts exactly when their new Cedar Park location is opening. Not receiving any response to our inquiry, we published the prevailing rumor on social media (February 15th opening) in our best attempt to answer the question everyone has been asking. In response to that post, we received the following update from Round Rock Donuts:
They were hoping to open on Tuesday, but it’s not going to happen that day. All they can say with certainty is that they will be open very soon, before the end of the month.
Following is the news and information we have previously reported on Cedar PArk’s new Round Rock Donuts location:
When we drove by and photographed the facility earlier today, it looked nearly complete. Comments on the Cedar Park Foodies Facebook group, which we were searching in response to comments on our posts seeking a date, led to what we would term a “solid rumor” on an opening day: This Tuesday!

Williamson Reporter photographed the interior of the new Round Rock Donuts through the windows. The facility looks fully stocked and ready to open.

Soon, Cedar Park residents won’t have to drive to Round Rock to taste a sweet bite of Texas History. Round Rock Donuts, a landmark Williamson County establishment that prides itself on being “world-famous since 1926,” has completed construction and is now staffing up to open a “6000 SF bakery with exterior walk-up and drive-thru ordering” at 1614 E Whitestone Blvd. in Cedar Park near Holiday Inn Express and Dos Salsas.
The new shop will have a large two-lane drive-through, walk-up windows, and restroom facilities for guests. There is no dining room. Doors to the building’s interior are marked “donut enter.” Most of the 6,000 square foot facility’s space is allotted to making donuts.
Last year, Williamson Reporter broke news that Round Rock Donuts had filed for building permits in Cedar Park. Additional media coverage of Round Rock Donuts planned Cedar Park location:
