SCHEELS is counting down to the opening of its new Cedar Park store, announcing a parking lot party Aug. 29 as part of its grand opening festivities.
The sporting goods retailer said in a social media post that the event will feature vendor displays, giveaways and SCHEELS-branded merchandise as the company prepares to welcome customers into the new location.
The Cedar Park store is located at 2150 Cedarview Drive near the Bell District development and is scheduled to open later this summer.
“60 days!” the company wrote in a post marking the countdown to the opening. “We are counting down the days until we can welcome you all into the store.”
The Cedar Park location will become SCHEELS’ first store in Central Texas and one of more than 30 locations operated by the employee-owned sporting goods retailer nationwide.
The company has been hiring staff and preparing the store in recent months as construction nears completion.
Additional details about the Aug. 29 event and grand opening activities are expected to be announced closer to opening day.
