Major’s Burgers is returning to Liberty Hill

A popular Liberty Hill burger spot is making a comeback.

Major’s Burger Company, a local favorite known for its burgers, onion rings and hometown atmosphere, closed in late 2024 after years of drawing customers from Liberty Hill, Cedar Park, Marble Falls and surrounding communities.

Now, Major’s is returning to Liberty Hill.

A recently posted City of Liberty Hill permit at Jardin Plaza, 15399 W. Highway 29, Suite 105, lists the project as “MAJORS BURGERS & BAR – MENU SIGN PERMIT.” The permit references a new menu sign and electrical work tied to the project.

Major’s had built a loyal following before its closure, with customers frequently describing it as a go-to local burger stop and a place worth driving across town — or from another city — to visit.

When the restaurant closed, the land was being redeveloped, and there had been discussion about selling the business, building and Major’s brand.

It remains unclear who is behind the new location and whether the original owners are involved. But the permit confirms the Major’s name is coming back to Liberty Hill.

For many longtime residents, that is welcome news.

Major’s was more than another burger restaurant. It was the kind of local spot residents recommended to visitors, took their families to after games and remembered as part of Liberty Hill’s small-town food scene.

Now, Liberty Hill is getting one of its favorite burger joints back.
