Soulbrain TX LLC is moving forward with an $85.8 million chemical manufacturing plant in Taylor as part of a broader investment that could eventually reach $600 million.
The company plans to construct a 37,495-square-foot factory at 140 Logistics Loop East in the RCR Taylor Logistics Park, according to a new filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Construction is scheduled to begin Sept. 1, 2026, and conclude Feb. 28, 2028. The privately funded project is identified as the “Soulbrain H3PO4 New Plant.” H3PO4 is the chemical formula for phosphoric acid.
Soulbrain plans to produce high-purity phosphoric acid used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing. The plant is expected to supply Samsung Electronics’ semiconductor foundry in Taylor and other manufacturers across Texas and the United States.
The Taylor Daily Press previously reported that Soulbrain TX, the U.S. subsidiary of South Korea-based Soulbrain Co. Ltd., could invest as much as $600 million in its American headquarters, first U.S. manufacturing plant and a future expansion at the Taylor site.
The project’s first phase and corporate headquarters also received a $12 million boost from the Governor’s Office intended to strengthen Texas’ semiconductor supply chain, according to the newspaper.
Soulbrain announced its selection of Taylor about two years ago. The company has since received property-tax abatements from Williamson County and the city of Taylor in exchange for investment and job-creation commitments.
The new state filing covers one portion of Soulbrain’s larger Taylor development. Construction dates and estimated costs listed in state filings remain subject to change.
