Local author Matthew G. Stroud will read his children’s book, “More Than a Ribbon: A Dog Show Story,” at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, at Lark & Owl Booksellers.
The book follows dogs at a competition and emphasizes showing up and trying again over winning. Irina Drazhina illustrated it.
The bookstore is at 205 W. Sixth St., Suite 101, in Georgetown.
