A brand new Whataburger location is under construction at 140 West Metro Drive in Leander, next to the H-E-B Plus. According to Whataburger Area Manager Aaron Santos, the location was expected to open on May 24. However, construction temporarily stopped on the site because landscaping plans needed to be reworked. Santos says the restaurant will now open some time in June. He was reluctant to project an exact date in an update he recently posted to the Cedar Park Foodies Facebook group.
The Leander Whataburger is not the only new location in the pipeline. A new Round Rock location is also close to completion.
