All eastbound lanes of Ranch Road 620 just west of U.S. 183 were shut down Thursday evening as Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and Williamson County Sheriff’s Office personnel investigated a major crash.
Authorities had not immediately released information on the number of vehicles involved, injuries or the cause of the crash. A DPS crash reconstruction investigator was on scene, and traffic remained shut down while investigators processed the roadway.
Photos from the scene showed extensive damage to at least one vehicle and debris scattered across multiple lanes. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the roadway reopens.
