A new pickleball facility has opened in Georgetown, bringing nine covered courts to one of the fastest-growing areas of Williamson County.
PickleTex Georgetown, located at 6827 W. State Highway 29, officially opened June 29. The facility features nine fully covered, pro-cushioned outdoor courts designed to allow play while shielding players from Central Texas sun, rain and other weather conditions.
According to the business, memberships are available and the venue is aimed at both recreational and competitive pickleball players. The courts are housed beneath a large open-air canopy, providing an outdoor playing experience without direct exposure to the elements.
The opening comes as pickleball continues to grow in popularity across Texas and the United States, with new facilities, leagues and tournaments appearing throughout the region.
Located near the Rancho Sienna and Santa Rita Ranch communities, PickleTex adds another recreational option to the rapidly developing western Georgetown corridor.
