Salt Traders Coastal Cooking is planned for a new restaurant development on New Hope Drive near the Cedar Park-Leander border, where a recent state filing outlines a $1.71 million restaurant finish-out.
Local Eats previously identified Salt Traders as the restaurant planned for Building 2 at 1605 E. New Hope Drive. Pinthouse also has announced that Salt Traders and Day Maker Half Day Cafe will join its brewery and restaurant at the development.
The latest filing, registered Oct. 27 with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, calls for finishing out 8,060 square feet inside a new shell building for restaurant use. Plans also include an attached, covered outdoor storage area measuring 652 square feet.
Salt Traders operates restaurants in Round Rock and Austin’s Zilker area. Its existing menus feature oysters, ceviche, fish tacos, shrimp and grits, and daily seafood specials, along with options such as burgers. A menu for the planned location was not included in the construction filing.
The new registration lists New Hope Land LP as the property owner and Austin-based OPA Design Studio Inc. as the design firm.
