Original Picasso artworks featured in free Round Rock exhibition through March 21

Art lovers in Central Texas have an opportunity to view 23 original works by Pablo Picasso without paying an admission fee as part of a new exhibition at the City Arts Center in downtown Round Rock.

The exhibition, “Dialogues with Picasso,” opened Nov. 6 and will remain on display through March 21, 2027, featuring original works by the renowned Spanish artist alongside pieces by other artists.

Presented in partnership with the Museo Casa Natal Picasso in Málaga, Spain, the exhibition invites visitors to explore Picasso’s artistic legacy through a dialogue between his work and that of other artists.

The museum, located in Picasso’s birthplace, is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the life and work of one of the most influential figures in modern art.

Picasso, born in Málaga in 1881, helped revolutionize 20th-century art through his contributions to Cubism and his experimentation with painting, sculpture, printmaking and other artistic forms. His work continues to influence generations of artists worldwide.

The Round Rock exhibition provides residents and visitors with an opportunity to experience original Picasso artworks close to home rather than traveling to major metropolitan museums or international art institutions.

The City Arts Center is also presenting a second exhibition, “The Art of Nick Ramos,” during the same period.

Both exhibitions are free and open to the public.

The City Arts Center is located at 216 E. Main St. in downtown Round Rock.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, with extended hours until 8 p.m. Wednesdays.

The exhibitions are scheduled to run through March 21, 2027.

The exhibition represents an opportunity for Central Texas residents to experience works by one of the world’s most recognizable artists in a community gallery setting, with no admission charge.
