City Post is building a “premier steak and seafood restaurant in the heart of Georgetown, near the Most Beautiful Square in Texas. Located in the original Georgetown Post Office, rich with history and nostalgia.”
According to the restaurant’s facebook page, they “are preserving the building and even the post office boxes.” The post office, nearly a century old, was built in 1931.
