Cilantro Grill by Sip Saam Thai coming to Cedar Park

A coming soon banner is up in Cedar Park on the monument sign for Cilantro Grill by Sip Saam Thai at 325 N. Bell Blvd. in the building formerly occupied by El Pollo Rico and Mo’s Best Eatery.

The cursed restaurant location of Cedar Park… Will a restaurant ever successfully open here? How long does it take to remodel a restaurant that has been 3 other restaurants into another restaurant??
The banner that was over the Mo’s Best sign had been there since December and it said “coming very soon”… Yet here we are almost July.
Mo’s Best was never good enough. Their temporary openings with only the drive-thru available and a slim, partial menu were a joke.
C’mon… IF it is gonna take ya’ 9 months to a year to open a restaurant, don’t put a banner or sign up that early on! Too many residents of Cedar Park get tired of seeing the repeated failures. How many people are going to just keep driving by without noticing if it is actually open?
Oh yeah, the name Cilantro Grill makes people think Mexican food, not Thai food. IF this place ever opens, some customers will be disappointed with the unexpected menu.

Hello,

Are there any updates on the actual date of Cilantro grill opening? It’s been 8 months since your article.
As someone that has aspirations to open a food business, this worries me.

Is this the owner of the property that is slowing the process of a new business opening or is this the city of Cedar Park and/or Williamson county and problems with permits?
