Construction is nearly complete on the new HTeaO Cedar Park location at the intersection of New Hope Drive and Bagdad Road, behind the 7-11 convenience store. HTeaO has around 20 freestanding and strip-center tea shops across the state.
The Lubbock-based chain evolved out of the brisk drive through tea business that Kim and Gary Hutchins did from their Buns Over Texas restaurants. Their strategic decision to build a new restaurant with a separate brand, storefront, and drive through just focusing on premium teas and water turned out to be a bigger business than burgers.
Currently, the chain has 19 locations open and several more, including Cedar Park, listed as “coming soon” on the HTeaO website.
