Both sides of a super-sized 11.5″ x 15″ mailer from the Robert Chody for Sheriff Campaign are filled with hundreds of names. According to the mailer “these people went online to endorse Sheriff Chody and many wrote about why they support our Sheriff.”
However, many citizens who received the mailer have expressed doubt on social media concerning the validity of these “endorsements,” pointing out one name in particular that casts the hundreds of so-called endorsements in a dubious light: Jackie MeOff
No social profiles or online records that Williamson Reporter could locate exist locally for a person so named. Williamson Reporter asked Sheriff Chody the following via a message to his campaign page: “Is Jackie MeOff a real person? Any comment?” No response was received.
Urban Dictionary does list the moniker as a “dirty parody name.”
