A new concept combining books, retail and cocktails is headed to Liberty Hill.
Prose & Pints, owned by Leigh Ross, is planning its first brick-and-mortar location at Sage Plaza Retail Center along U.S. 183. The business is targeting a fall 2026 opening, pending construction and licensing approvals.
According to state filings, the project includes a 1,504-square-foot interior build-out with an estimated construction cost of $240,000. Construction is expected to be completed by November.
The concept will feature books and curated merchandise in the front portion of the store and a micro-cocktail bar in the rear. Plans call for literature-inspired drinks and seating for approximately 20 guests.
A mixed beverage permit application has been posted at the location, one of the first public indications that the project is moving forward.
The business’s branding emphasizes the connection between reading and social gathering, with the slogan “Bound in Ink & Foam” appearing alongside imagery of books and beverages.
Prose & Pints is among several new businesses planned for Sage Plaza, a retail development that continues to attract tenants as Liberty Hill experiences rapid residential and commercial growth.
When it opens, the venue will offer a bookstore-inspired retail space paired with a cocktail bar designed for readers, writers and community gatherings. Guests will be able to browse books and curated merchandise before enjoying literature-themed cocktails in an intimate setting.
An official opening date has not yet been announced.
