Velvet Taco will open its new Georgetown restaurant Wednesday, July 29, at Bluebonnet Plaza.
The restaurant, located at 1316 W. University Ave., Suite 103, will begin serving customers at 10:30 a.m.
As part of the grand-opening celebration, the first 59 guests in line who join the Velvet Room rewards program will receive free tacos for a month, according to the company.
The opening will also benefit The Georgetown Project, a local nonprofit organization serving children, young people and families in the Georgetown community.
Velvet Taco’s menu features more than 20 globally inspired tacos and bowls, along with margaritas and red velvet cake.
The Georgetown location will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to midnight Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
