WCSO narcotics investigation leads to 3 arrests, seizure of drugs, firearms and cash in Cedar Park

A months-long narcotics investigation by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Organized Crime Unit resulted in three arrests and the seizure of drugs, firearms and more than $44,000 in cash following the execution of a search warrant at a Cedar Park apartment complex.

According to the sheriff’s office, detectives executed a search warrant July 6 at the Bexley Apartment Complex, 2801 S. Lakeline Blvd., after an investigation that began with a Crime Stoppers tip received in January.

Investigators reported seizing approximately 10.4 grams of cocaine, 25 ounces of THC wax, 1,208.4 grams of alprazolam — roughly 4,771 pills — 772 grams of THC vape products, about 1.2 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms and 50.56 pounds of marijuana. Detectives also recovered $44,522 in cash, nine handguns, a Mossberg shotgun, three AR-15-style rifles, a Draco AK-style pistol, a digital scale and multiple cellular phones.

Authorities arrested three people in connection with the investigation.

Sergio Madrigal, 19, was charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance involving cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, alprazolam and THC wax, as well as possession of marijuana.

Jessica Carrese, 20, faces the same charges.

Angel Rosas, 20, was charged with possession of a controlled substance involving THC vape products.

The sheriff’s office said the case demonstrates the Organized Crime Unit’s efforts to identify and dismantle narcotics trafficking operations in Williamson County. Sheriff Matthew Lindemann praised detectives for their work and thanked community members who report suspected criminal activity.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
